CNY Neurodiagnostics PLLC is a Private Neurology practice founded in 2014 by Dr. Samah O. Mohiuddin MD to serve the community of Syracuse and their physicians in the treatment of neurologic disorders such as stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease, seizures, spine, nerve, muscle diseases, headaches and sleep disorders.

Electromyography Procedures

Our  Electromyography facility provides comprehensive nerve conduction studies and EMG evaluations performed by staff with expertise in neurodiagnostic testing. An invaluable diagnostic tool, electromyography (EMG) results provide evidence in support of diagnoses of:

Because electrodiagnostic evaluation is an extension of clinical findings, the lab's medical specialists perform a focused neuromuscular examination, including history and physical, before conducting the electrical test, upon each requested consultation. EMG studies are performed by Dr. Samah Mohiuddin MD.

Our physicians conduct electrical studies of the lower motor neurons, including anterior horn cell, nerve root, plexus, peripheral nerves, neuromuscular junction and muscles, to aid in understanding and evaluating neuromuscular disorders. Studies include:

  • Routine high-quality nerve conduction studies
  • Electromyography
  • Advanced neurophysiologic studies for peripheral neuropathies and nerve entrapment
  • Neuromuscular junction testing
  • Facial nerve electrophysiology

Referring physicians receive timely reports that include recommendations for further management.

CNY NeuroDiagnostics PLLC utilizes the national guidelines approved by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), providing referring physicians an accurate EMG & NCS medical report.
